Looking for additional ideas for hands on training sessions for 1st and 2nd year medical students for a one day exposure to rural medicine. We normally do site visits, Pap/IUD station, Ultrasound, Suturing, Casting, Intubation. I know ONT does a jeopardy does anyone have access to that and willing to share that info. Any additional ideas and or anything relating to mental health/psych?

we had a veteran GPA who would do intubation demos for the students (on a dummy of course!). he was a bit of a 'macgyver' so he gave them all sorts of tips/tricks too. he even made a separate demo piece from Can Tire tubing, lol. they loved hearing the tips and everyone got to practice with the dummy/scope.

We've done a scrub-in session in the OR, stroke prevention clinic (related testing), as examples. You could do lead placements for cardiac testing/monitoring, or code blue training. You could do MoCA testing for mental health maybe, with support. Or think about out-patient mental health programs that they could participate in with certain teams.
