Further to Cindy’s question below, I am curious as to who is planning to attend the FMF this November.
Thanks

Hi Paula,

We three Horizon Health Physician Recruiters will be attending, Darlene, Hope and I. We have attended now for the part 4-5 years. I hope to see you there. Kind regards, Denise

Hi Cindy & Paula,
Unfortunately we have not had many direct leads from attending FMF over past few years (sorry Bryan). Of course recruitment is a long-term process and making any relationships early are always a benefit, however, with limited budgets it is been removed from our conference attendance this year.
From our experience, at FMF you speak with A LOT of students and residents which is always great, but not many are ready for make the move. It is more of a marketing event for your job opportunities and region than other recruitment conferences.
Saying all this, if there is one FMF to attend and you have the funding, Toronto is the one with the most delegates!
Kindly,
Myla

Hello, Manitoba Health Care Providers Network usually has a booth and promotes opportunities for all across Manitoba. In the past, I have been sponsored to go along with their group to recruit for the entire province. I was sponsored by a French organization to go along, as I am bilingual. Normally regional recruiters are not allowed to attend outside of the province career fairs as part of a provincial mandate. I believe there should be a booth from Manitoba attending this conference.
