I am looking for some new and exciting ideas the recognize our Docs on Doctor’s Day. Anyone willing to share what they have done over the years? Thanks!

Last year we ordered some chocolate baskets that were in the shape of a doctor's bag and handed them out. They loved them.

That sounds like a great idea Pat! Thank you for sharing. May I ask where you got them from?

We usually host our own "Family Doctor Appreciation Week" and the hospital support Doctors Day. Last year we postponed the week as it is held at the beginning of June and with the pandemic it didn't seem appropriate at that time. In September, we sent all of our family doctors a letter of appreciation with a gift certificate to a local restaurant. We used a variety of restaurants in order to also support that sector. We don't celebrate National Doctors Day, but rather May 1, Ontario Doctor Day. Last year I had a local bakery make cookies, that said "Happy Doctors Day". They were super cute and yummy. And individually wrapped of course! Marked as spam

I send custom cards and a small gift to 150 GPs and family med residents. This year's cards are made by a resident-owned company called The Medicament Rx - https://themedicamentrx.ca/. I can email you her info if you like. Marked as spam
