In preparation for the 2018 CASPR Conference, the NB Team would like to know what question(s) would you like to have the Immigration Panel answer? We are hoping to provide the team; Immigration lawyer, IRCC Employer Liaison Officer and, Team lead of the Skilled Worker Unit with questions. Even if you are not attending the conference, please send along your question and email as we will have the team respond should you not be attending.
Kind regards,
Denise

Thank you for your question. We currently do not have any questions for the Immigration Panel.

I’d like to hear a little bit about the logic behind continuing to treat doctors as ’temporary foreign workers’, and their non-exempt status. Why are they not exempt? The applications we fill out for Labour Market Impact Assessments do not appropriately apply to physicians. The ’transition’ plans don’t make any sense in terms of the physician workforce, and the express entry program only penalizes them for being highly trained and educated in their field, which is the reason we need them!

I am unable to attend the conference but a question. I have a physician coming from the US. His wife is Canadian but they have been living in the US for the past 10+ years. What is the best way for him to enter the country? Can he be sponsored by his wife for permanent residency before they move to Canada?

Hi there, it would be amazing to have someone actually representing the Immigration office if possible!
