Recruiting: Internal Medicine Physicians
CKHA has opportunities for Internists looking to diversify their practice or those who are simply looking for inpatient work. Our Internal Medicine department offers a variety of areas physicians take part in including:
– The IM 12 (level 2) Progressive Care Unit (PCU) beds with a dedicated NP
– The option to participate in our CAD clinic for exercise and nuclear stress tests. Plus the TIA clinic
– Options to read ECGs, PFTs, and Holter monitors available, with CKHA billing on the physician’s behalf
– The Medical Affairs Department can also support in setting up an outpatient practice.

Internists with subspecialties are welcome, including:
– Rheumatology
– Cardiology
– Endocrinology

The Basics: Call, Payment and Schedule
The PCU is covered during the day via a weekly 7 day schedule comprised of all internists. Call coverage is split among those in the Department of Internal Medicine with an average call of 3 times per month.
Fee for service payment and call is eligible for HOCC payments made directly to the physician
Earn some extra money by becoming an Adjunct Professor with Western University and teach the next generation of medical students and residents your craft.

Who we’re Looking for:
Internal Medicine physicians with inpatient care experience and an independent CPSO license wanted. Awesome people preferred! New grads or upcoming grads are welcome!

A Bit About CKHA:
CKHA is a 200-bed hospital located in Southwestern Ontario that offers a full range of medical and diagnostic services including CT, MRI, and 24- hour laboratory, diagnostic imaging and respiratory therapy services. We also offer specialty services in Emergency Medicine, ENT, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Urology, General Surgery, Anesthesia, Psychiatry and OB/GYN.

– CKHA’s finance department will bill on your behalf for certain practices
– OR as a Surgical Assist available and you’ll receive all the FFS billings.
– Willing to provide supervision for a colleague with a restricted CPSO license? CKHA will compensate you $250/month for your assistance.
