The Opportunity
We are seeking General Internists to join our rural healthcare teams across the province. These roles offer a dynamic and rewarding scope of practice, including:

  • Inpatient care, including daily ward rounds and coordination of investigations
  • Emergency care and patient stabilization, including on-call responsibilities
  • Chronic disease management and ambulatory care clinics
  • Palliative, respite, and long-term care services
  • Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic, patient-centered care
  • Family meetings and care planning, with a focus on clear communication and compassion

You’ll work closely with other physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals. In this role, you will also have access to regional support and telehealth services.

Qualifications
To be considered, you must:

  • Hold a Medical Degree (MD)
  • Certification by the Royal College Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent
  • Be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador (CPSNL)
  • Satisfy credentialing requirements of NL Health Services, including a satisfactory criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.
  • Demonstrate a strong record of professionalism, collaboration, and patient care
