Pembroke Regional Hospital (PRH) is currently recruiting 1 full time Obstetrician Gynecologist. Full time will include office practice, inpatient and outpatient care, deliveries, elective surgeries, clinic time for minor procedures and on-call coverage for labour and delivery and gynecologic emergencies.

PRH delivers a broad range of acute, post-acute, outpatient and diagnostic services to a mixed urban and rural population of approximately 100,000 residents in the Upper Ottawa Valley.

PRH is a full-service medium size community hospital located one and a half hours west of Ottawa and close to Algonquin Park. The hospital provides an array of diagnostic services including Nuclear Medicine, CT and MRI. The hospital is a designated District Stroke Center and has a busy emergency department, seeing 35,000 visits annually. Inpatients are primarily cared for by a hospitalist program. Full specialist support is provided by Anesthesia, Internal Medicine, Critical Care, Surgery, Ob/Gyn, Psychiatry, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Orthopedics, Physiatry and Urology.

Pembroke Regional has a well established referral protocol with local tertiary care centres in Ottawa.

Position Requirements

• Fully independent registration (or eligible for) with College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
• Certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada – FRCS(C) in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Experience working with teams and possessing strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
