The Opportunity
Join our team of 4 Ophthalmologists in our hospital. This collegial team encourages personal development and works with state-of-the-art equipment. This position will include comprehensive medical and surgical ophthalmology. You will join a regional on call pool that is 1 in 7. The following specialties are represented in Peterborough: General Surgery, Gynecology, Ear Nose and Throat, Vascular, Orthopedics, Plastics, Ophthalmology, Maxillary facial/Dental and Urology.

Position Qualifications:
•  Currently registered with or eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario

•  Fellow Royal College of Physicians and Surgeon of Canada

•  Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with physicians, nurses, staff, volunteers, patients, hospital leadership, and the community as required

•  Demonstrated analytical ability

•  Ability and willingness to encourage a spirit of co- operation amongst team members

•  Eligible for staff privileges at PRHC

•  Evidence of ongoing continued medical education
