The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is seeking a Pediatrician to join our dedicated and collaborative physician team in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. The successful candidate will work alongside two experienced pediatricians to provide comprehensive pediatric care for the community and surrounding region.
The position includes inpatient and outpatient pediatric services, as well as participation in a shared emergency call schedule. An opportunity is available to join an established pediatric clinic with the current pediatricians, providing a collaborative practice environment and a seamless transition into the community. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician seeking a rewarding practice with a supportive team while delivering high-quality care to children and families in North Battleford.
Job Qualifications:
- Certified or eligible to be certified with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)
- Regular or Provisional License with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS) (or eligible to be licensed)
- Valid driver’s license
- Successful SHA credentialing including but not limited to acceptable reference checks and criminal record check with vulnerable sector
- Current Canadian Medical Protective Association coverage
- Legal entitlement to work in Canada
Hours of Work
Clinic days are currently 5 days a week, Monday to Friday (excluding statutory holidays), 8 hours per day. 24 hour emergency on-call is required and shared equitably among the physicians
Method of Payment
Contracted position inclusive of 220 week days per contract year and equitable portion of on-call
