We are looking for EM Physicians to join an established group of emergency department physicians. As part of the Emergency Medicine team, you will be responsible for providing clinical medical services to individuals presenting to the emergency department, including trauma and pediatric care. Candidates will also have the opportunity to teach residents and medical students training in North Battleford under the University of Saskatchewan College of Medicine Distributed Medical Education program. The Battlefords Union Hospital is supported by multiple specialists including internal medicine, hospitalists, general surgeons and pediatricians.

The community is also recruiting for family medicine physicians and a combined practice would be an option for any interested candidate.
Terms of Employment
Shifts are 6 hours in length with flexibility to combine. The Battlefords Union Hospital is a Regional hospital. The Battlefords Union Hospital’s Emergency Room is a 24/7/365 service with a large catchment area.
Required Skills
The successful candidate must be registered and licensed to practice medicine with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS). Physicians must maintain membership and insurance with Canadian Medical Protective Association and must be legally entitled to work in Canada. The successful candidate is required to hold current certification in Advanced Trauma Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
In accordance with the immigration requirements, preference with be given to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents of Canada.
Remuneration is based on experience and certification on the Emergency Medicine Physician or FRCP/CCFP(EM)/ABEM Provincial Pay Grids

This opportunity may be eligible to receive the Emergency Medicine Recruitment and Retention Incentive of up to $200,000!  The program applies to Specialist Emergency Medicine physicians and Family Medicine Emergency Medicine physicians.

Recruitment/Relocation incentives available of $15,000 for 3 years return of service to the community.
