The Saskatchewan Health Authority is seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Medicine Physician to join the team at Yorkton Regional Health Centre (YRHC). As the only regional centre in Southeast Saskatchewan we provide comprehensive emergency services to a large catchment area, offering a rewarding and challenging clinical environment.

As part of the emergency medicine team you will be responsible for providing clinical medical services to individuals presenting to the emergency department, including trauma, stroke, and pediatric care. The successful candidate must thrive in a fast-paced and unpredictable environment with a focus on teamwork, collaboration, and excellent communication and leadership skills.

Job Qualifications
• Fellow or eligible for fellowship with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in emergency medicine (FRCPC) OR be certified or eligible for certification with Canadian College of Family Medicine Physicians in emergency medicine (CCFP EM)
• Regular or Provisional License with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS) (or eligible to be licensed)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Valid driver’s license
• Successful SHA credentialing including but not limited to acceptable reference checks and criminal record check with vulnerable sector
• Current Canadian Medical Protective Association coverage
• Legal entitlement to work in Canada

The successful candidate may be eligible for (depending on program requirements and eligibility):
• The Emergency Medicine Recruitment and Retention Incentive up to $200,000 over five years
• The Specialist Recruitment Incentive program, which provides $30,000 to an eligible specialist that establishes a practice for a minimum of thirty-six months in a Saskatchewan community.
• The SMA Retention Fund, which provides financial reward to physicians who practice in the province for extended periods ranging from $7,000 to $14,000 per year
