The Opportunity
The department of Obstetrics/Gynecology at Peterborough Regional Health Centre (PRHC) is seeking a general Obstetrician/Gynecologist to join our team!We are seeking a physician to join our team on a long term or permanent basis. An upcoming parental leave within the group has also created a locum opportunity, offering interested candidates the opportunity to become familiar with our practice, hospital, and community while considering a potential permanent position.

Position Qualifications
· Currently registered with or eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
· Fellow Royal College of Physicians and Surgeon of Canada in Obstetrics and Gynecology, or equivalent
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with physicians, nursing, staff, patients, directors,
managers, and the community as required
· Eligible for staff privileges at PRHC
· Evidence of ongoing continued medical education

Work Better
Our current call group consists of seven (7) generalists and one maternal-fetal medicine specialist. Our recruit
would share call with the current team. Our Labour & Delivery unit welcomes around 1,700 babies each year, has
its own dedicated Operating Room (OR), and is attached to PRHC’s Level 2B NICU. We also provide OR time for
gynecologic surgery, approximately two (2) full days per month, and the option to open your own clinic or join an
existing group practice.

PRHC is a teaching site and we work with medical students on their core OB/GYN rotations as well as with family
medicine residents based in Peterborough.

This is an exciting time to join the OB/GYN team at PRHC. We have big plans for the department in the coming years. For those who are interested in creative partnerships, and in leadership, this job will be of particular interest.
