  • The annual compensation will be calculated in accordance with the Cancer Care Alberta Physician compensation grid for Medical Oncologists ranging from Level 1 $416,192 per annum to Level 3 $531,341 per annum. Grid placement will be based on qualifications, training, and experience. Annual Compensation is based on the contracted 210 Service days. Note: The Oncologists are eligible for Additional Workload Compensation during the position’s vacancies in Cancer Care Alberta. Additional support from Cancer Care Alberta: CCA provides a recruitment support incentive that includes the following conditional on leadership approval: 1. Relocation Support: up to $18,500 for recruits within North America and up to $25,000 for recruits outside North America. 2. AHS Sponsorship Support if required. 3. The Department of Oncology, Cancer Care Alberta, Alberta Health Services, Division of Medical Oncology at the Cross Cancer Institute (CCI), is accepting applications for a full-time Medical Oncologist position at the Cross Cancer Institute (CCI) in Edmonton.

The successful applicant will join a team of multidisciplinary cancer programs located at the Cross Cancer Institute, Edmonton Zone Medical Oncologists currently on staff working within the systemic treatment area and are involved in research, teaching and patient care. This position will be primarily clinical, however, academic interests will be accommodated where appropriate, and participation in clinical trials is expected.

Cross Cancer Institute (CCI) is a freestanding integrated cancer treatment and research facility that functions as the tertiary oncology referral centre for Northern Alberta. CCI is a leader in innovative cancer research, prevention, treatment and care initiatives. It has a strong record of basic and translational research as well as clinical trial activity in Oncology.

Qualifications include an MD, certification in Internal Medicine or equivalent, special competency in Medical Oncology or equivalent. The Candidate must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta. They must read, write, and speak English fluently. This position is sponsorship and LMIA eligible.
