The Department of Anesthesia at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) is now seeking new members to join its current team of 24 Anesthesiologists. RVH surgical services are both community and regional in scope of practice. Full time, part time and locum opportunities are all available.

Cases include:

• Obstetrics
• Gynecology
• ENT
• Plastics
• Dental
• Orthognathic
• Orthopedics
• Vascular
• General Surgery
• Urology
• Ophthalmology
• Endoscopy
• Gynecologic Oncology

Operating Rooms/Clinics

• 11 ORs (including hybrid suite)
• 3 Endoscopy Suites
• 1 Negative Pressure Room
• 1 Cystoscopy Suite
• 2 Obstetrical ORs
• Pre-Anesthetic Consult Clinic
• Acute and Chronic Pain Management Clinic
• Regional Block Room

Flexible Schedule

Elective Day

0800-1500 (Monday – Thursday)

0830-1500 (Friday)

Call

2-3 call shifts/month

1st and 2nd On-Call Rotas complete 24/7 coverage

Choice between 16-hour call or 24-hour call

Qualifications

• Eligible for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent
• Eligible for licensure in Ontario
• Excellent communication skills
• Enthusiasm to continue to grow and evolve the program
