The department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Peterborough Regional Health Centre (PRHC) is seeking a generalist locum with coverage dates December 14, 2026 to September 7, 2027.

This is to cover a maternity leave for one of our physicians and dates can be flexible. The group of physicians you will be working with are committed to work-life balance in addition to being skilled ObGyn and supportive  colleagues.

We welcome new graduates and those wanting a positive change to consider locum work within our department. If there is a good mutual fit, there are opportunities for permanent employment as well.

Our current call group consists of seven generalists and one maternal-fetal medicine specialist.

Locum coverage would be for a full-time generalist practice at Evolve Obgyn, www.evolveobgyn.com.

The locum would be responsible for:
· Call, four (4) to five (5), 24 hour shifts per month
· One (1) to two (2)clinic days per week
· Operating room time, two (2) days per month

Options to assist colleagues in the operating room or to participate in abortion care are available.

Peterborough is conveniently located 90 minutes from Toronto and offers a nice alternative to city living for those who enjoy the outdoors and cottage country!
