JOB / ORGANIZATION INFORMATION
The Chatham-Kent Community Health Centres (CKCHC) currently has 1 permanent position available in Walpole Island with an immediate start date.
This position will support the mission, vision and values of the CKCHC. The Physician will deliver primary care to clients and participate in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programs and services for the clients and families of the CKCHC. By utilizing skills and bringing a positive outlook and clinical leadership, the Physician will serve various equity-seeking populations who commonly experience barriers accessing healthcare. The Physician will work in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team of the CKCHC.
Chatham-Kent is a distributed teaching site for Schulich, and is a Family Medicine Resident Teaching Site. Many education opportunities for physicians are available at the health teams, CKHA, through the CK Task Force and Chatham-Kent Ontario Health Team (CKOHT).
FINANCIAL INFORMATION
Compensation is based on your FTE status as per the current Ministry of Heath approved salary, paid statutory holidays and mandatory participation in the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP). Benefits are offered for physicians employed ≥15hours per week and include paid vacation, sick, personal, wellbeing, bereavement, and education time. The CKCHC covers all overhead expenses and there will be no deductions from your salary for such items as typing of consult letters, overhead costs, or the purchase of equipment and supplies relating to your services provided in the team-based environment. CKCHC will reimburse you for reasonable expenses you incur while actively carrying out your job duties, provided such expenses are authorized, documented, and submitted in accordance with CKCHC policies. Possibly eligible for a newcomer stipend.

Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) is a 200 bed community hospital serving the residents of Chatham and rural Kent including Walpole Island and Delaware First Nations. Referral Centres are in Windsor and London.
