Job Description / Duties

Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre (TBRHSC) currently has one full-time, permanent vacancy for a Plastic Surgeon.

Full time Plastic Surgeon, Independent Consultant, admits, evaluates, diagnoses, and performs surgical procedures for patients presenting with both congenital and acquired defects of the body’s soft tissue. All Plastic Surgeons will provide on-call coverage and support teaching/academics as part of their day-to-day activities. The Plastic Surgeon will also maintain a community office.

Terms of Employment

The preferred candidate must be eligible for licensing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) and have certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Required Skills

Determine appropriate surgical procedures. Perform and supervise surgical procedures. Act as consultants to other physicians. Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures. Prescribe medication and treatment.
