COMMUNITY INCENTIVES FOR FAMILY PHYSICIANS

We provide community incentives to family physicians for practice related items, i.e. office set-up, professional fees, clinic rent, CME, and relocation costs. Does anyone, particularly in Ontario, offer incentives for personal use, i.e. home down payment, vehicles, home furniture purchases,etc.?

The hospital will sometimes offer an interest free loan, but with a set repayment schedule that may begin 6 months after their arrival. We too have discounts with lawyers and accountants.

Hi Cindy – We are running on a small budget, but have had lots of success. We do offer a free short term stay in our locum apartment and a local lawyer offers a no fee deal for real estate transactions. Our new surgeon coming on board will get the same deal. Things can always be tailored. But, as you know, sometimes there is a limit! :)
